The Texas Department of Transportation in partnership with Kendall County and the City of Boerne, is conducting the Kendall Gateway Study, a feasibility study that has been undertaken to identify potential alternatives to relieve traffic congestion in Kendall County and City of Boerne. The Kendall Gateway Study was created by a joint resolution between Kendall County and the City of Boerne. The primary goal of the study is to identify solutions that could provide improved mobility as the area continues to grow. The study area is within Kendall County, Texas.
Key elements of the study include the following:
TxDOT, Kendall County, and the City of Boerne will consider improvements recommended in the Feasibility Study Report for further project development. No construction activity is currently planned.
TxDOT requests your input in identifying environmental and transportation priorities and issues in Kendall County. As a member of the local community, your participation in this survey will assist in understanding your priorities as we analyze potential solutions and alternatives against set environmental and transportation criteria. The criteria are based upon a balanced consideration of safe and efficient transportation, social, economic, and environmental impacts.

Public involvement opportunities will be provided throughout the study process. TxDOT held an open house on Jan. 17, 2017, and anticipates holding another open house in Fall 2017.
