The State Loop 12/State Highway (SH) 114 Interchange is the first in a series of projects intended to alleviate bottlenecks on the four major freeways around the site of the former Texas Stadium:

• Loop 12
• SH 114
• Spur 482
• SH 183

Improvements

This first section under construction will make way for the beginning of the reconstruction of SH 183 through Irving to the Tarrant County Line. This will improve traffic flow to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and the western part of the Metroplex.

Improvements include the following:

• Construction of two one-lane direct connection ramps from north Loop 12 to west SH 114 and east SH 114 to south LP 12
• Widening of Loop 12 from six to eight lanes and SH 114 from four to six lanes
