The purpose of this planning and environmental study is to identify a potential route or routes for SH 249 between Todd Mission and Navasota.
Improvements under consideration include the following:
- Congestion relief on SH 105 in Grimes County
- Congestion relief on FM 1774 in Montgomery County
- Safer hurricane evacuation
- Increase regional connectivity
