Lynn Isaak, P.E., serves as director of the Project Management Office (PMO).
Isaak oversees the planning, development, and implementation of project management tools and techniques for the delivery of all TxDOT projects. The office implements new initiatives that improve existing systems — supporting the people that manage TxDOT’s 18,500+ projects statewide.
Isaak leads the development and management of enterprise-wide portfolio status and health reports, project and agency risk management programs, project management training programs and the sharing of project management best practices. Under her leadership, the PMO has delivered noteworthy initiatives, such as implementing a change control mechanism to communicate changes to projects, coordinating an enterprise project reporting system that combines project information from different legacy systems, and delivering the agency’s four-year work plan.
Isaak has more than 23 years of diverse project management experience in the transportation industry, including an 11-year career at the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) where she was both a construction and production project manager on several projects throughout the Tampa Bay area.
Prior to joining TxDOT in 2012, Isaak was founder and owner of an engineering consulting firm for five years. The firm provided project management and engineering consulting services, including construction phase liaison services, utility adjustment coordination, and critical path method (CPM) scheduling support to clients such as FDOT and TxDOT.
Isaak earned her bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of South Florida. She is a registered professional engineer in Texas, Florida and Georgia.
