Project expected to take 3.5 months or less
ELLIS COUNTY – Ground has broken on a TxDOT project to replace the County’s Cowan Road bridge at Mill Creek with a new concrete bridge.
The two-lane bridge has been closed for more than a year and is expected to be complete by late January of next year. Because the bridge is already closed, construction will not impede motorists.
This $237,358.70 contract was awarded to J.M. Yanez Construction of Sulphur Springs. It is 80 percent federally and 20 percent state funded.
