GAINESVILLE – After reviewing feedback from our October open house, the Texas Department of Transportation made revisions to the design of the potential US 82 Reliever Route in Gainesville. Interested citizens are invited to attend this second US 82 Reliever Route meeting to look at the updated alternatives.
US 82 is a major thoroughfare for motorists and trucks and as population and commercial activity continue to grow in the area, it has become necessary to move forward with the planning and design of a reliever route that can more adequately meet the capacity and safety needs of the corridor.
Members of the project development team and engineering consultants will be on hand to answer questions. No formal presentation will be given. Attendees are invited to come and go at their convenience.
