PARIS – The Texas Department of Transportation today named Tommy Henderson, P.E., as its Director of Operations for the nine-county Paris District in Northeast Texas. Henderson previously served the Paris District as the Greenville Area engineer, overseeing district work in Hunt and Rains counties.
“We are fortunate to have Tommy Henderson assume leadership of this important position in the Paris District,” said Noel Paramanantham, TxDOT district engineer based in Paris. “He will begin his new duties effective Nov. 15.”
A native of Whitewright, Texas, Henderson received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Texas A&M University in 2006 and began work at the agency in 2007 at the Collin County area office. During his seven-year tenure in the Dallas District he gained experience in maintenance, contract development and management, construction design and project management. He was the lead roadway engineer on a project to reconstruct IH 30 and IH 35 in downtown Dallas, known as the “Horseshoe Project.” He earned his professional engineers license in 2011.
He also served as assistant area engineer at the Grayson County area office in the Paris District for more than one year, and was named Greenville Area engineer in April 2015.
Henderson and his wife, Linsey, have two children; Reese, and Case Patrick. His enjoys watching Aggie football, chasing the children, learning golf, small projects around the house, and spending time with their immediate families.
