PARIS – Texas Department of Transportation officials today announced that full-depth concrete repairs will begin Feb. 6 on US 75 in Grayson County, from the Grayson-Collin county line to the Red River.
The contractor, Winding Road Construction, Bigfork, Minn., was granted 105 working days to complete this project valued at more than $1.3 million. The target date for completion of this project is August 2018, weather permitting.
The contractor will remove damaged concrete pavement from the roadway and replace it with new concrete pavement in both north- and southbound lanes of US 75. TxDOT officials said these repairs will take place at night, from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m., from Sunday through Thursday. No work is scheduled on Friday or Saturday nights.
TxDOT officials said this project will require the use of temporary lane closures while the contractor is working. Motorists who regularly travel US 75 in Grayson County are asked to pay special attention to all signs, barricades and traffic controls, and reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems.
