LUBBOCK – The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is ready to begin a routine bridge maintenance project that will repaint various bridges along Marsha Sharp Freeway (US 62/82), Loop 289 and Spur 327. Project contractor Champion Infrastructure, LLC, of Salado, Texas, is scheduled to begin the $1 million project Monday, Oct. 2, on the Spur 327 bridges.

Motorists traveling these roadways over the next several months should be prepared for various lane closures, both on the mainlanes and cross streets at the major intersections. Motorists are advised to slow down and stay alert when entering the work area and should watch out for workers and construction equipment.

Work on the project is expected to be ongoing through mid-December, with work suspended during the winter months, and then resuming once temperatures allow.
