Additional pavement will allow traffic to bypass the intersection at SH 114
FORT WORTH – The southbound side of the bridge at SH 114 and Double Eagle Boulevard will be opened in early August after final striping and pavement markings are installed. This will allow traffic traveling westbound on SH 114 to access the neighborhood at Double Eagle using the bridge.
Traffic leaving the neighborhood headed to westbound SH 114 will continue to utilize Jarrett Drive to perform a U-turn from the eastbound frontage road.
The final element of the project is the construction of bypass pavement under the bridge so through traffic on SH 114 will not have to stop at the Double Eagle intersection. Construction is scheduled to begin on this pavement in the next two weeks. When this pavement is complete the northbound side of the bridge will be opened. The project is scheduled for completion in November weather permitting.
The $15.3 million contract for the project was awarded to Mario Sinacola and Sons, Excavating, Inc.
