Carolina Bridge Project (until further notice)

  • Carolina Bridge is closed between Stiles Drive/Franklin Drive and Alameda Avenue (SH 20).

Crews have demolished the existing bridge, and the reconstruction of the new bridge has begun.

North Loop (FM 76) Project

Monday, May 22, through Friday, May 26

Tuesday, May 30, through Friday, June 2

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. as needed until further notice

  • Horizon Boulevard (FM 1281) right lane closure north and southbound between Horn Circle and Regina Drive
  • North Loop Road (FM 76) alternating lane closures between Rio Vista Drive and Horizon Boulevard
  • Traffic will switch to North Loop (FM 76) westbound between Horizon Boulevard (FM 1281) to Sudan Drive; traffic will be put to one lane in each direction.
  • Horizon Boulevard (FM 1281) northbound to eastbound North Loop Road (FM 76) will have a no right turn.
  • Horizon Boulevard (FM 1281) northbound between Regina Drive to Horn Circle will be put to one lane in each direction.
  • North Loop Road (FM 76) eastbound to Horizon Boulevard southbound will have a no right turn.

The following closures will remain in place until further notice:

  • Traffic will switch to southbound pavement at Horizon Boulevard (FM 1281), and North Loop (FM 76) traffic will be moved to one lane in each direction.
  • Horizon Boulevard (FM 1281) northbound lane closures between Regina Drive and Lydia Road

Closures are necessary for new drainage, hot mix and concrete paving for proposed westbound lane of North Loop Road (FM 76).

Deceleration Lane/Driveway Project (Note: This is not a TxDOT project.)

Expect these closures every Monday through Friday until further notice:

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (at different times throughout the day)

  • Southbound right lane closure on Zaragoza Road (FM 659) between Gateway East Boulevard and Castner Drive
  • Zaragoza Road (FM 659) northbound right lane closure between Charles R Schulte Drive and Tierra Este Road
  • Gateway West Boulevard right lane closure between Pendale Drive and Goodyear Drive

Please follow the detour signs in place on all projects.

All work is dependent upon weather conditions.
