Five Dallas Projects Get the Go Ahead from Commission

DALLAS COUNTY – In an ongoing effort to enhance state roadways and improve safety, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) approved five contracts for roadway work in the Dallas area.

  • I-35E from I-30 to Oak Lawn Avenue – Ramp construction, frontage road construction, roadway modifications and operational improvements. The $78.7 million contract was awarded to Balfour Beatty Infrastructure, Inc.
  • I-20 from I-635 to Spur 557 – Pavement repair. The $1.08 million contract was awarded to IIPL USA, LLC.
  • Spur 366 from north Lamar Street to North Central Expressway – Full depth concrete repair. The $674,379.69 contract was awarded to IIPL USA, LLC.
  • SH 114 at Texas Plaza in Irving – New location bridge construction. The $39.5 million contract was awarded to Webber, LLC.
  • I-20 from SH 161/Lakeridge Parkway to FM 1382 – Construct frontage roads, ramp modifications and sidewalks. The $54 million contract was awarded to Flour Heavy Civil, LLC.  

Construction dates will be established in upcoming meetings between TxDOT and the contractor.
