Three Projects in Dallas Area Get Go Ahead

DALLAS – In an ongoing effort to enhance state roadways and improve safety, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) approved three contracts for roadway work in the Dallas area.

  • US 67 will be widened from four to six lanes between Belt Line Road and I-20. The $59 million contract was awarded to Flatiron Constructors, Inc.
  • Guide signs will be installed on I-35E from the Ellis/Dallas County Line to Ann Arbor Avenue. The $496,357 contract was awarded to IIPL USA, LLC.
  • A retaining wall will be constructed on FM 1382 from East Grand Prairie Road to north of SH 180. The $1.6 million contract was awarded to A.K. Gillis and Sons, Inc.

Construction dates will be established in upcoming meetings between TxDOT and the contractor.
