ROCKWALL – A project to widen the shoulders and repair the pavement on SH 66 is set to begin next week with the setting of work zone signs. Milling on the current lanes will occur daily in one of four sections leaving no drop-off. The four sections will open incrementally.
The project length is 19.8 miles. The contract was awarded to Oldcastle Material Texas, Inc. for $15.8 million.
Work will require various daytime lane closures scheduled during off-peak hours throughout the duration of the project. The project is expected to be substantially complete in spring of 2019.
