Date: March 6, 2017

DENTON COUNTY – Weather permitting, southbound Plano Parkway from south of FM 544 (Parker Road) will be closed beginning at 8 p.m. tomorrow through 6 a.m. March 29, 2017, for intersection construction.

At the same time, the left lane of northbound Plano Parkway south of Parker will also be closed for this construction.

For the southbound Plano Parkway closure, a detour will be provided and traffic will be split at FM 544 and the Plano Parkway intersection with double detours. Traffic may detour to eastbound FM 544 to southbound Midway Road to southbound Marsh Lane back to Plano Parkway. Traffic may also detour to westbound FM 544 to southbound Josey Lane to eastbound Hebron Parkway back to northbound Marsh Lane back to Plano Parkway.

In addition to these double detours for the southbound traffic, message boards have been set up to notify motorists of the closures.

This construction is part of the project to replace the bridges and widen the roadway on Parker Road between FM 2281 and Dozier Road.
