DALLAS – It will be necessary to close the I-45 southbound entrance ramp at Lamar Street on March 6, 2017, for six months as part of the S.M. Wright Phase I project.
The closure is needed for bridge construction. Motorists can use the northbound frontage road to Pennsylvania Avenue and make a U-turn to access I-45 southbound.
The S.M. Wright Phase I project includes building direct connection ramps from C.F. Hawn Freeway (US 175) to I-45 eliminating the curve on US 175 to S.M. Wright Freeway (US 175/SH 310). The project includes widening I-45, construction of bridges and wireless traffic control devices.
The estimated completion of the project is anticipated in late summer of 2019.
