JUSTIN – Work is kicking off on the reconstruction of FM 156 from Martin Ranch Rd. to 12th Street in Justin. The four-mile-long project will widen the road to four lanes and is expected to be substantially complete by spring of 2019.
During the first phase of construction, it will be necessary to have various lane closures within the project limits to improve the shoulder, restripe the lanes and to set concrete traffic barrier. Full street closures will be implemented in various locations to construct railroad crossing approaches. During the full street closures, there will be detour routes. This phase is expected to be completed in early 2018.
Mario Sinacola and Sons, Excavating Inc. is the contractor on the $32.5 million job.
