CHILDRESS – The project to improve the southbound lanes and a portion of the northbound lanes of US 62/83 in Childress County has moved into the town section of Childress.

Beginning Wednesday, Oct. 18, the contractor will begin to mill a section of US 62/83 from US 287 to FM 3181. This is the portion of the roadway in front of the Childress Regional Medical Center and Fox Rural Health Clinic.

Weather permitting, the contractor will lay hot mix beginning Oct. 19 through Oct. 21.

Motorists may encounter delays while this project is underway and are urged to pay special attention to all signs and traffic control devices.
