Caddo Lake State Park roads, parking areas, and campsite parking will receive a new riding surface this year according to plans approved in January by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
“We will be resurfacing all the park roads and parking areas in the park” said Ray Brady, area engineer for TxDOT in Marshall. “We will also be reconstructing and repositioning some of the campsite parking areas to improve parking access for RVs.”
CDM Holdings of New Boston, Texas, was awarded the contract for the construction project with a bid of $1.4 million.
Work on the project should begin in April and take about seven months to complete, Brady said.
