Hot mix season has returned, allowing an overlay project that began on US 385 last summer to resume. The Texas Department of Transportation’s contractor, RK Hall Construction, will begin with patch repair on Thursday, April 6, and by Saturday will continue with the asphalt overlay.
The US 385 project spans 22.85 miles from the Oldham County line to the Hereford city limit. Motorists are reminded that during the project, traffic will be down to one lane and a pilot car will guide traffic through the construction zone, which will typically be two miles at a time. Please be prepared to stop and obey all traffic signs and directions provided by construction crews.
Construction will take place Monday through Friday and every other Saturday. The project is expected to last through the end of June 2017, including patch work, overlay and striping.
