AMARILLO – Motorists are asked to take alternate routes for the next several weeks as demolition of the I-40 bridges over Ross and Arthur streets begins. Thru traffic under both bridges will be closed while demolition takes place according to the following schedule:
|March 9 – 14||Westbound bridge over Ross Street|
|March 15 – 21||Westbound bridge over Arthur Street|
|March 22 – 28
||Eastbound bridge over Arthur Street|
|March 29 – April 4||Eastbound bridge over Ross Street|
Motorists traveling westbound I-40 needing to access southbound Ross should use the Ross Street exit and stay on the frontage road to the Arthur Street turnaround. Motorists traveling eastbound wanting to access northbound Ross should exit Ross Street and use the turnaround at Nelson Street.
