Pre-Construction Safety Meeting Scheduled for Jan. 25
Amarillo, TX – TxDOT will host a pre-construction safety meeting Wednesday, Jan. 25, to discuss the US 60 (Buchanan Street) Downtown Enhancement Project.

This project consists of removing and replacing concrete and storm sewers, and placing brick sidewalks and street crossings, lighting and landscaping. Enhancements will be made between 11th and 6th avenues on Buchanan Street, and on 6th Avenue from Fillmore Street to Pierce Street.
TxDOT representatives will be joined by representatives from the city of Amarillo and PTP Transportation.
Ti-Zack Concrete Inc. was the successful low bidder at a construction cost of $2.15 million. The project is expected to begin in February 2017 and be completed by June 2017 with a construction time of 95 working days.
