TxDOT to Host Second Public Meeting on Possible FM 89 Improvements

Agency continues series of public meetings for popular Abilene roadway

ABILENE — TxDOT is hosting a second public meeting to gather feedback and suggestions for possible improvements to FM 89 (Buffalo Gap Road) from Winters Freeway to Chimney Rock Road.

The meeting will be from 4 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, at Champions Church, 7474 Buffalo Gap Road, in Abilene. Business owners, residents, and all interested parties are invited to attend.

Experts will be available to discuss issues and ideas with stakeholders in the community, and input will be considered as the agency moves forward in developing a plan that will enhance the safety of this corridor while preparing for future growth. Displays incorporating feedback from last fall’s public meeting will be available for review. This meeting will be presented in a come-and-go open house format, and there will be no formal presentation.
