The Commission for High-Speed Rail in the Dallas/Fort Worth Region consists of seven members and was formed to advise the Texas Transportation Commission and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) executive director on the development of intercity rail corridors, new transportation policies and funding and procurement strategies as they relate to the implementation of proposed high-speed rail connecting the Dallas and Fort Worth areas. The group will also provide advice on the ongoing preparation of an environmental impact statement (EIS). The Commission for High-Speed Rail (CHSR) in the Dallas/Fort Worth Region was formed based on the minute order adopted by the Texas Transportation Commission on Jan. 30, 2014.
