Purpose:

TxDOT in conjunction with the City of Killeen, as joint lead agencies, are hosting a public hearing to gather public input regarding the extension of Rosewood Drive from Riverstone Drive to Chaparral Road.

Description:

The proposed project would extend Rosewood Drive 0.6 mile from its current location (Riverstone Drive) to Chaparral Road as a four-lane roadway with a continuous turn lane. This project would traverse the floodplain of Trimmier Creek and would include a bridge 284 feet long. Although additional right of way is required, no residential or non-residential structures would be displaced. Information concerning services and benefits available to affected property owners and information about the tentative schedule for right of way acquisition may be obtained by calling (254) 616-3151.

Special accommodations: TxDOT makes every reasonable effort to accommodate the needs of the public. The public hearing will be in English. If you have a special communication accommodation or need for an interpreter, a request can be made. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can also be made to accommodate most needs. Please call (254) 616-3151 at least five working days prior to the meeting. Please be aware that advance notice is requested as some accommodations may require time to arrange.

The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
