Purpose:
The purpose of the meeting is to provide information and to gather public input on the proposed relocation of the eastbound I-10 exit ramp 365 to a point approximately 0.8 mile west of its current location extending to SH 163 in Ozona.
Description:
- Extension of the eastbound I-10 frontage road and relocation of the exit 365 to a point west of Johnson Draw to allow for more deceleration time and weaving distance between I-10 eastbound and SH 163
- Construction of a bridge that will allow passage during flood events
- Converting the frontage road to one-way.
Maps showing the proposed project location and geometric design will be available for viewing at the meeting, which will be held in an open house format from 5:30-7 p.m., with a presentation at 6 p.m.
Information will also be available for public inspection Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., at the TxDOT San Angelo District Office, 4502 Knickerbocker Rd. San Angelo, TX 76901.
The meeting will be conducted in English. Persons interested in attending the meeting who have special communication or accommodation needs, or need an interpreter, are encouraged to contact the San Angelo District’s environmental coordinator at (325) 947-9261. Requests should be made at least two days prior to the public meeting. Every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate these needs.
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 16, 2014 and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
