| Purpose: | The public meeting is designed to provide information and gather input about proposed improvements to five segments of Highway 191 in Ector and Midland counties. Proposed improvements are between East Loop 338 in Odessa and FM 1788 in Midland County. | ||
| Description: | Among proposed improvements are relocating on-ramps and off-ramps to accommodate existing and planned development in the area. Overpasses are also proposed in the long-term plan at two locations that are not yet fully developed: Yukon Road and another intersection between Yukon Road and FM 1788. The proposed improvements are needed because the existing corridor is not compatible with existing land use, planned land use and the emerging local road network. Verbal and written comments are encouraged. Comments may be submitted at the public meeting or in writing within 10 days after the public meeting. Written comments must be postmarked by March 16, 2015 to be included in the public record. Persons interested in attending the meeting who have special communication or accommodation needs are encouraged to contact the TxDOT Odessa District Public Information Office at (432) 498-4746 at least two working days prior to the meeting. TxDOT will make every reasonable effort to accommodate other special needs as required. The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT. |
