Where: George Ranch High School Cafeteria
8181 FM 762
Richmond, TX 77469
When: Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015

Purpose: The purpose of the public meeting is to present the proposed project to the public and receive comments. The proposed project includes widening Crabb River Road (FM 2759/FM 762) and constructing an overpass at the railroad intersection (FM 762/FM 2759) in Richmond, Fort Bend County.

Description: The project limits extend from approximately 0.25 miles south of Sansbury Boulevard to approximately 500 feet south of the Lamar Consolidated Independent School District Complex located on FM 762, a total distance of approximately 2.9 miles.

The purpose of the project is to provide additional capacity, enhance safety and improve access and connectivity. The proposed improvements would be constructed in two phases:
  • Phase I - Widen the existing Crabb River Road (FM 762/FM 2759) to four lanes with a divided raised median

  • Phase II - Construct a grade separation (overpass) over the BNSF Railroad and Thompsons Road (FM 762/FM 2759)
The proposed project would require additional right of way (ROW) and would potentially result in displacements (as part of Phase 2); approximately three businesses and one vacant property would be impacted.

The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
