Open House - Trammel Fresno Road and Hurricane Lane Widening

Purpose: The purpose of the meeting is to present two projects in Missouri City; the proposed widening of Trammel-Fresno Road from Vicksburg Boulevard to Fort Bend Parkway, and a new two-lane extension of Hurricane Lane from Trammel-Fresno Road to Lake Olympia Parkway in Fort Bend County.
   
Description: The proposed Trammel-Fresno Road project includes:

  • Widening Trammel-Fresno Road with one travel lane in each direction, from Vicksburg Boulevard to Fort Bend Parkway in Missouri City
  • Adding concrete sidewalks, and curb and gutters for drainage
  • Building a detention pond within city-owned property north of Trammel-Fresno Road
  • No additional right of way is needed and there are no displacements required

The proposed Hurricane Lane project includes:

  • Expanding Hurricane Lane by constructing a two-lane undivided curb-and-gutter roadway
  • Adding a 10-foot shared-use path (to accommodate bicyclists and pedestrians) from Trammel-Fresno Road to Lake Olympia Parkway
  • Building two detention ponds east of the proposed Hurricane Lane expansion
  • No additional right of way is needed and there are no displacements required

The meeting will be held in an open-house format; the public is encouraged to attend this meeting and provide comments on these two projects any time on or before Oct. 9, 2014.
