\

Purpose:

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) proposes to improve SH 146 with the construction of four main lanes over 0.87 mile (4,594 feet) in the existing right of way (ROW) between BS 146 and Ferry Road in Baytown, Harris County, Texas. The proposed improvements are needed in order to accommodate existing traffic, future growth of the region, improve safety and to improve connectivity.

Description:

The proposed project includes:

  • extending four additional main lanes between the existing six 12-foot lanes

The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT
