Open House - SH 99 Segments H and I-1 Reevaluation

Where: Dayton Community Center
801 South Cleveland Street
Dayton, TX 77535
When: Tuesday June 9, 2015
5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Purpose: TxDOT and The Grand Parkway Association (GPA) will host an open house meeting to present the proposed design changes to Grand Parkway, SH 99 from US 59 North/Interstate 69 to Interstate 10 East (Segments H & I-1).

Description: TxDOT is proposing alignment shifts for the following crossings:
  • Luce Bayou crossing
  • US 90 crossing
  • Near the ExxonMobil plant in Mont Belvieu
  • Along the existing canal near SH 146 and FM 565
Since the Federal Highway Administration issued a record of decision on June 24, 2014 for this segment of Grand Parkway, continuing project development efforts have identified the need for shifts in the selected alternative. These minor alignment shifts are in response to public comments and private landowners’ requests in the proposed project area and are based on multiple meetings with local officials, landowners and members of the public. To document and analyze the proposed modifications, TxDOT has developed a re-evaluation of the final environmental impact statement. Other than the proposed alignment shifts above, no additional design changes for Segments H and I-1 are currently under consideration.

The public is encouraged to provide comments. No formal presentation will be provided and citizens can come and go at their convenience. Right of way and displacements are required for these design changes.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a memorandum of understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
