Purpose: The purpose of the open house is to present two design changes to the original project design for SH 146 from Red Bluff Road to FM 518 south of the Galveston/Harris county line. The project received environmental clearance on Aug. 1, 2013. The public meeting will focus solely on the two revisions to the original project design.

The public is encouraged to provide comments. No formal presentation will be provided and citizens can come and go at their convenience. No right of way or displacements are required for these design changes.

A previous public hearing was held on Jan. 26, 2012.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant of 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
