Purpose:

TxDOT is hosting an open house about the upcoming construction of the Elysian Viaduct bridge structure from Brooks Street to Commerce Street in Harris County, TX. The meeting will be an open house format so citizens may come and go at their convenience, and staff will be available to answer questions.

Description:

This project includes the reconstruction of the Elysian Viaduct bridge structure from Brooks Street to Commerce Street, in Houston, TX. The Elysian Viaduct project is approved for construction to improve safety as well as accommodate population growth, enhance mobility and improve connectivity in the local area.

Closure of Elysian Viaduct occurs end of March/early April and will remain closed for duration of project, which is 32 months. However, timing is subject to change. Once the specific construction schedule is known, more information will be provided.
