Purpose:

The purpose of the meeting is to gather public input on the proposed intersection improvements for FM 2234 at US 90A in Missouri City, Fort Bend County, Texas.

Description:

The proposed project would include the construction of additional turn lanes at the intersection of FM 2234 at US 90A and adjacent intersections. Turn lanes include:

• Three turn lanes in each direction under existing US 90A
• Two left-turn lanes from FM 2234 to US 90A in both directions
• A detention pond is proposed along the east side of FM 2234 at Crestmont Drive
• The proposed project would  result in potential residential and commercial displacements
• Additional right of way would be required; the exact amount is yet to be determined

The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
