Purpose:

The purpose of the public meeting is to present proposed improvements to US 62/180 (Montana Avenue), from Global Reach Drive to FM 659 (North Zaragosa Road), and gather input from the public. The meeting will be an open house format so citizens may come and go at their convenience. English and Spanish speaking staff will be on hand to answer questions.

Description:

Proposed improvements would widen Montana Avenue to a controlled access facility to consist of:
  • Three main lanes in each direction
  • Three lane frontage roads in each direction
  • Sidewalks and a bike lane

Special accommodations: TxDOT makes every reasonable effort to accommodate the needs of the public. The meeting will be conducted in English. If English is not your primary language and you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, you may need an interpreter or document translator, one will be provided to you upon request. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. Please be aware that advance notice is requested as some accommodations may require time for the Texas Department of transportation to arrange.

Written comments from the public regarding this project are encouraged. Comments may be submitted either at the Public Meeting or in writing within 15 days after the meeting. Written comments may be mailed to the following address: Project Manager, TxDOT El Paso District, 13301 Gateway Boulevard West, El Paso, TX 79928-5410. Comments may also be emailed. Comments must be hand delivered or post marked on or before Thursday, April 27, 2017 to be included as part of the public record. TThe environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and TxDOT.
