Purpose:

The proposed project would provide connectivity, reduce weaving movements and improve bicycle and pedestrian access on FM 659. Proposed improvements include:

 

  • Connectivity and operations at the intersection of FM 659/Montwood Drive/Loop 375
  • Illumination
  • Bicycle lanes
  • Sidewalks

Persons interested in attending the public meeting with special accommodation needs are encouraged to contact the TxDOT El Paso District Public Information Office at (915) 790-4200 at least two working days prior to the meeting. TxDOT will make all reasonable efforts to accommodate other special needs as requested.

Written comments from the public regarding this project are encouraged. Comments may be submitted either at the Public Meeting or in writing within 15 days after the meeting. Written comments may be mailed to the following address: Project Manager, FM 659 in El Paso, Entech Civil Engineers, Inc., 16360 Park Ten Place, Suite 230, Houston, TX, 77084. Comments may also be emailed. Comments must be hand delivered or post marked on or before Wednesday, April 19, 2017, to be included as part of the public record. The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 16, 2014, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and TxDOT.
