Loop 9 Southeast Corridor/Feasibililty Study

Purpose: A public meeting to gather public comment on the proposed Loop 9 Southeast Corridor/Feasibility Study, spanning 35 miles from US 67 to I-20 within Ellis, Dallas and Kaufman counties.

The meeting will be conducted in an Open House format with no formal presentation. Participants are encouraged to speak with TxDOT staff about concerns, issues and suggestions regarding corridor options.

Note: This will be the first of two meetings covering the same information. The second meeting will take place May 23, 2013, at Ovilla Road Baptist Church in Ovilla, Texas.

Description: The study boundaries are from US 67 in Ellis County to I-20 in southeast Dallas County.

Proposed improvements include the following:

  • A new road, off the existing alighment, that may be tolled
  • Development of a preferred alignment that would improve transportation efficiency within Dallas, Ellis and Kaufman counties.
