Purpose:

TxDOT is hosting an open house to present the proposed improvements of US 79 at the west intersection I-45 frontage road in Buffalo, in Leon County.

Description:

The purpose of this project is to improve traffic flow of US 79 at the west intersection I-45 frontage road in Buffalo in Leon County, Texas.

Proposed improvements include:

  • Relocate south bound entrance and exit ramps to US 79
  • Simplify west frontage approach to US 79
  • Adjust medians
  • Adjust traffic signal

A proposed project layout will be available for viewing and TxDOT staff will be available to discuss the project. Since this meeting will be conducted as an open-house, no formal presentation is planned. Attendees may come and go at their convenience. The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
