Purpose:

The purpose of the open house is to present the proposed improvements for the I-35 at Williams Drive project, from south of Williams Drive to south of Lakeway Drive in the city of Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas. The open house will allow attendees the opportunity to review and comment on the proposed project, which is part of the overall Mobility35 Program. Displays will be available and project staff will be present to answer questions. Attendees may come and go at their convenience.

If you are unable to attend the meeting in person but would like to learn more about the project or submit a question or comment, please visit the online virtual open house between Nov. 15 and Dec. 1, 2016.

Description:

The purpose of the project is to improve safety and mobility. The proposed project includes the following improvements:

  • Reconstruct Williams Drive interchange to a diverging diamond intersection
  • Replace existing overpass bridge at Williams Drive
  • Improve existing southbound frontage road
  • Extend northbound frontage road from Williams Drive to the Lakeway Drive exit ramp
  • Construct intersection bypass lanes under Williams Drive to avoid the traffic signal
  • Improve bicycle and pedestrian accommodations along I-35 frontage roads
