Description: We know you’ve got to get where you need to go. The William Cannon project is updating more than 3 miles of I-35 in southeast Austin to get drivers places faster, safer and smarter. During construction, crews will build a variety of improvements including new U-turn bridges at Stassney and William Cannon, wider mainlanes to incorporate shoulders and extended entrance/exit lanes, reconstructed overpasses and improved bicycle and pedestrian accommodations.

Construction of the William Cannon project began in July 2016 and is expected to last through 2019.
