TxDOT invites citizens to an open house for the South 10-Mile Comprehensive Project (South10). Attendees will be able to review materials, ask questions and submit comments.
If you are unable to attend the meeting in person but would like to learn more about the project or submit a question or comment, please visit our online virtual open house between July 12 and July 26, 2016.
Those who have special communication or accommodation needs are encouraged to call James Lowe at (512) 342-3333 at least three business days prior to the open house. Every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate these needs.
The purpose of the South10 project is to improve safety and mobility for all users of I-35 while minimizing right-of-way, community and environmental impacts and to provide a reliable travel time for cars and bus transit using the express lanes.
The South10 project would add an express lane in each direction of I-35 and address all remaining safety and mobility improvements proposed under the Mobility35 program that are not included in a series of stand-alone projects between Riverside Drive and SH 45SE. Two alternatives are being considered: a build alternative consisting of express lanes with direct transit accommodation and a no-build alternative.
