Education Verification

Education and degree information for high schools and colleges listed on applications will be verified for all TxDOT hires.

Domestic Degrees

You may check the legality of your degrees at the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB). You may also visit the Department of Education to determine whether your degree was awarded from an accredited institution.

Note: Applicants who submit fraudulent or substandard education information will have their applications rejected and may be subject to legal action (Texas Penal Code, Section 32.52).

International Degrees

An engineering and non-engineering international degree must be comparable to a United States degree as confirmed by an approved evaluation service.

Below is a list of foreign degree evaluation services used by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and the National Association for Foreign Student Affairs (NAFSA) or Association of International Educators.
