TxDOT is working with numerous federal, state and local partners to host several Summer Transportation Institutes (STIs) around Texas between June and August, 2010. These are opportunities for high school students to learn about the transportation field and the various transportation-related careers available.
Overview
Funded by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), STIs will provide academic enhancement activities and encourage students to pursue transportation-related courses at the college/university level. The theme of this year's recruitment is "Transporting You to the Future."
Eligibility
The STIs are open to incoming 9th through 12th grade students and are scheduled to begin in June. They will run for approximately two to four weeks each, depending on the campus.
Note: Students can enroll in the STIs by contacting the individuals listed below at their preferred school of choice.
