Small Business Enterprise (SBE) defined:
A Small Business Enterprise (SBE) is a firm whose three-year average
gross receipts do not exceed current U.S. Small Business Administration
(SBA) size standards as listed at http://www.sba.gov/size.
For example, the current business size limit for construction businesses
is $31 million per year, averaged over three years, and $4 million for
Engineering and Surveying firms.

Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Information – the
SBE is a Texas Department of Transportation
(TxDOT) program for all small business enterprises that meet the
eligibility standards regardless of
race, color, national origin, or gender. The SBE program is
applicable to all highway construction
and maintenance contracts funded entirely with state and local
funds. Certified DBE and HUB firms
are eligible for the SBE program without having to submit a SBE
application. |
