Important Notices:

Effective November 1, 2009, the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), opens for business. Several TxDOT divisions and their functions will transfer to the DMV. The OS/OW Load Permits function will not transfer to the TxDMV.

You must obtain an oversize/overweight permit from TxDOT if your vehicle and/or load exceeds Texas legal size and weight limits. Customers can use Online Permits (CPS) to apply for temporary vehicle registration and almost every type of permit.
