SS3214  PDF  RTF  Injection of Latex into Asphalt Binder - Provides a quality assurance mechanism for binder produced by injection of latex at the point of use. This requires a detailed binder design, reporting of metered volumes and inventories, and jobsite sampling. Optional for all projects beginning with the September 2010 letting. Construction Division Approval Required: Conditions for approval are 1. if the pavement to be microsurfaced is in good condition, and 2. if the project is primarily a microsurfacing project.
