 Rebecca
Davio, Ph.D., is director of the
Vehicle
Titles and Registration Division of the Texas Department of Transportation
(TxDOT). She administers motor vehicle registration and titling, salvage yards
and automobile theft prevention activities. Davio became director in January
2006.
A TxDOT employee for 14 years, Davio previously served as director of the Staff
Services Section, Recycling Manager, and an Alternative Fuel Vehicle Analyst.
Before her TxDOT career, Davio worked in management and administrative
capacities for the Texas Department of Commerce, Texas Department of Human
Services and the City of Austin. She served as the Public Relations Director for
Executive Women in Texas Government in 2005.
Davio earned a bachelor’s degree in merchandising, a master’s degree in public
affairs, and a doctoral degree in solid waste management, all from the
University of Texas at Austin. |
