Construction Director

Toribio Garza, Jr., P.E.

Toribio Garza, Jr., P.E., is director of the Maintenance Division and also serves as the interim director of the Construction Division.

Garza previously served as Deputy Director of the Maintenance Division, where he was responsible for the Maintenance Section, routine maintenance budgets, maintenance contract change orders, emergency operations and the ferry systems, as well as other division responsibilities.

Prior to being named Deputy Director, Garza served as the Director of Maintenance in the Pharr District, starting in 1999. Prior to his appointment, he held several positions in the Pharr and Corpus Christi Districts throughout his 23 years with the Department.

Garza graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 1986.
