TxTag Closes Customer Service Center This Weekend For Maintenance, But Extends Deadline For Paying Overdue Toll Bills

Customer service operations to resume following routine maintenance

WHEN:

TxTag Customer Service Center CLOSED

Aug. 26 at 8 p.m. until Aug. 29 at 8 a.m.

WHERE:

12719 Burnet Road
Austin, TX 78727

AUSTIN The TxTag Customer Service Center, located at 12719 Burnet Road, will be closed Friday at
7 p.m. until Monday at 8 a.m. for routine system maintenance. Online bill-pay operations and automated phone system services also will also be temporarily unavailable beginning Friday evening and resume Sunday at 8 p.m.

In addition, late fees on unpaid tolls that were scheduled to resume Aug. 31 will now be postponed until Sept. 9. The Texas Department of Transportation is encouraging its toll road customers with overdue toll charges to pay their balances by this extended deadline in order to avoid possible late fees and additional penalties.

In February 2015, TxDOT suspended late fees on unpaid tolls as the agency migrated to a new billing system. During the suspension, unpaid tolls did not accumulate additional fees; however, customers continued to receive monthly statements for unpaid tolls as a reminder they still owed money for driving on toll roads (SH 130, SH 45N, SH 45SE, Loop 1 and SH 255).

TxDOT is committed to helping customers settle their accounts. Following this weekend’s closure, the Customer Service Center hours are Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, visit TxTag.org or call (888) 468-9824.
